Gentle Fawn Skirt c/o//Forever 21 Crop Top
Remember the movie The Craft? I was obsessed with it in elementary school; looking back I probably shouldn’t have even been watching it but I don’t think I really knew what it was even about. I do remember thinking how F’ing GLAM they all were and how much I wish I were Nev Cambell. Anyway, when I showed this look to my BFF/Fashion Soul-mate, Matt, he told me that it felt like a throwback to The Craft and I just about passed out with joy.
Sorry to keep referencing the weather down here but come on…I could never wear this outfit in New York this time of year. I have to take advantage before heading back to the tundra that awaits me. I love pairing maxi skirts with crop tops as referenced here and here but I’ve never been able to rock this look for Fall until now. I was so excited to try this combo in a more covered up and refined way and I loved the outcome.
In my last post I talked about trying a hair trend that I’d seen on the runway and here is my second attempt. Something that really stood out to me at NYFW this September was the sleek, straight styles with a center part and I knew this would be the perfect topping to this chic and simple outfit. I think beach waves would have evoked too much of a summertime feel whereas this slicked down hair feels more Fall appropriate. I’m really not great with hair, but hey, I’m trying!
