Well I’m obviously not going back to school but if I were I would definitely wear this outfit and delight in the looks on non-fashion forward peoples faces.

I know I’ve already told you guys about my longstanding obsession with overalls {remember this?} so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that these babies are about 10 years old.  A decade ago I was in Macy’s and desperately needed a restroom so I ran to the nearest one which happened to be in the kids department.  On my way out these overalls starting screaming at me so I stopped for a listen, found a size XL and made them mine.  Back then it definitely was not cool to wear overalls but I just couldn’t be bothered to care.  I was obsessed with all things camo {I thought I was a gangster/still do} and wore them loud and proud.

So now overalls are a major trend and so is camo. YAY.  All my girlfriends are telling me they ‘can’t wear overalls’ which just isn’t true.  If you’re on the fence here is what I suggest: get a basic pair {my pick would be Joe’s Jeans take on the trend here}.  Then keep the rest of the look simple.  A white tee will do if you’re not ready to get daring.  Throw on some cool shades and some easy flats and you’re looking chic, promise.

To wear the camo trend {non overalls} I suggest starting with a pair of camouflage print skinny jeans.  I love this pair by Tripp which are a great price point. and an easy fit.  For evening throw on a fitted black cami and a strappy black sandals and you’re looking super chic. For day a basic t in cream, white, or earth toned stripes and a tan bootie or neutral flat will look perfection.
