Oh you didn’t know I could get down with the prep like this did you?!  Well I’m a real southern housewife right now so I’m embracing my surroundings.  The other day I actually wore a bow type thing in my hair and I may do it again soon and document it.  I think they call this assimilation.

In all seriousness, this look is definitely a little preppy for me but I gave it the SMN touch by adding these dope shoes and backpack.  I think the key to trying new styles or dressing outside your fashion box is always infusing a bit of ‘you’ into any look.

I love this cashmere blend cable-knit sweater and have been wearing it on major repeat as of late.  Pieces like this one are definitely worth investing in {approximately $200-$250} because they will truly become go-to’s in your wardrobe and they will stick with you for years to come.  If you’re looking to save then do it on trend pieces, like these shoes{approximately $35}which I love but know will not hold up or stay en vogue long enough to justify a designer price tag.  I think this spend vs splurge is a bigger conversation for another day but that’s a mini lesson to get you through your weekend shopping.

Now go and have the best weekend of your lives, ok?!
